In the past two years, a number of leading crop protection companies have also researched and developed prothioconazole compound products and launched them internationally.
Bayer occupies a dominant position in the global prothioconazole market, and multiple prothioconazole compound products have been registered and launched in many countries around the world. In 2021, a scab solution containing prothioconazole, tebuconazole, and clopyram will be launched. In the same year, a three-component compound grain fungicide containing bixafen, clopyram, and prothioconazole will be launched.
In 2022, Syngenta will use the combination packaging of the newly developed and marketed flufenapyramide and prothioconazole preparations to control wheat head blight.
Corteva will launch a compound fungicide of prothioconazole and picoxystrobin in 2021, and a grain fungicide containing prothioconazole will be launched in 2022.
