Mode of Action
Imazamox, an imidazolinone herbicide, inhibits the activity of AHAS by absorbing, transmitting and accumulating in meristem through leaves, resulting in the cessation of biosynthesis of branched chain amino acids valine, leucine and isoleucine, interfering with DNA synthesis, cell mitosis and plant growth, and ultimately causing plant death. Imazamox is suitable for post seedling stem and leaf treatment in soybean field, and is not recommended for pre seedling use. It can effectively control most annual gramineous and broadleaf weeds.
