Mode of Action
Cyromazine is a low-toxic insecticide of the insect growth regulator type. It has very strong selectivity and is mainly active against Diptera insects. Its mechanism of action is to cause morphological distortions in the larvae and pupae of dipteran insects, resulting in incomplete or inhibited emergence of adults. The drug has contact and stomach poisoning effects, strong systemic conductivity, long lasting effect, but slow action speed. Cyromazine has no toxic or side effects on humans and animals and is safe for the environment.
Act on these Pests:
Cyromazine is suitable for a variety of fruits and vegetables, and has good insecticidal effects mainly on "fly" pests. At present, in the production of fruits and vegetables, it is mainly used for the prevention and control of: American leafminer, South American leafminer, bean pole leafminer, and onion leafminer in various fruits, solanaceous fruits, beans and various leafy vegetables. Leafminers, leafminers and other leafminers, root maggots of leeks, onions and garlic, leek aphids, etc.
Suitable crops:
Beans, carrots, celery, melons, lettuce, onions, peas, green peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, leeks, green onions.
Other dosage forms
20%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 75%, 80% wettable powder,
60%, 70%, 80% water dispersible granules,
20%, 50%, 70%, 75% soluble powder;
10%, 20%, 30% suspending agent.
Application
(1) To prevent and control spotted leafminers on cucumbers, cowpeas, beans and other vegetables in the early stages of occurrence, when the leaf damage rate (underground) reaches 5%, use 75% cyromazine wettable powder 3000 times, or 10 % cyromazine suspension 800 times solution is evenly sprayed on the front and back of the leaves, sprayed every 7 to 10 days, and sprayed 2 to 3 times continuously.
(2) To control spider mites, spray 75% cyromazine wettable powder 4000~4500 times.
(3) To prevent and control leek maggots, roots can be irrigated with 1,000 to 1,500 times of 60% cyromazine water-dispersible granules.
Application
(1) This agent has good control effect on larvae, but less effective on adult flies. It should be used in the initial stage to ensure the quality of spray.
(2) The appropriate period for the control of spotted leafminers is the initial onset period of young larvae. If the eggs are not hatched neatly, the application time can be appropriately advanced and sprayed again after 7 to 10 days. The spraying must be even and thorough.
(3) Cannot be mixed with strong acidic substances.
(4) In areas where the control effect of avermectin has declined for many years, attention should be paid to the alternate use of agents with different mechanisms of action to slow down the development of pest resistance. When spraying, if 0.03% silicone or 0.1% neutral washing powder is mixed into the liquid, the control effect can be significantly improved.
(5) It is irritating to the skin, so please pay attention to safety protection when using it.
(6) Shake the medicine well before use, then take appropriate amount and dilute it with water.
(7) Store in a cool and dry place, away from children, and do not mix with food and feed.
(8) Generally, the safety interval for crops is 2 days, and crops can be used up to 2 times per season.
