Mode of Action
Metsulfuron methyl is absorbed into the plant by wheat seedlings, then transformed by enzymes in the plant and degraded rapidly, so the wheat has greater tolerance to this product. The dosage of this agent is small, its solubility in water is large, and it can be adsorbed by soil. The degradation rate in soil is very slow, especially in alkaline soil. It can effectively prevent and control weeds such as Chamaecrista, Veronica, Fanzhou, Chaocai, shepherd’s purse, broken shepherd’s purse, Sophora annua, Chenopodium album, Polygonum hydropiper, Oryza rubra, and Arachis philoxeroides.
