Chlorpropham is a plant growth regulator and a herbicide.
As a plant growth regulator, Chlorpropham is often used to inhibit germination of potatoes during storage. It can also be used on fruit trees for flower and fruit thinning.
When storing potatoes, take 1.4 kg of chlorphenamine per ton of potato cubes, and spread it evenly or blow it into the pile of potatoes with a blower. Chloramphenicol prevents potatoes from sprouting while in storage.
At the same time, chlorphenamine is a high selective pre-emergence or early post-emergence herbicide ,which can control annual grasses and some broad-leaved grasses in the fields of wheat,corn,sunflower,sugar beet ,rice,carrot and other crops.
Handling and Storage
Cautions for operation:
(1) Airtight operation and full ventilation. Prevent dust of Chlorpropham from being released into the workshop air.
(2) Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear dust masks, chemical safety goggles, breathable anti-virus clothing, and chemical-resistant gloves.
(3) Keep away the Chlorpropham from fire and heat sources, and smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment.
(4) Avoid Chlorpropham contact with acids, alkalis, and oxidants. Equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment.
Storage Note:
(1) Store the Chlorpropham in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources.
(2) The packaging should be sealed. Chlorpropham should be stored separately from acids, alkalis, and oxidants, and should not be mixed.
(3) Equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment. Storage areas of should be equipped with suitable materials to contain spills of Chlorpropham.
