Mode of Action

Metolachlor is an amide-type selective pre-emergent herbicide, which is mainly absorbed by the seedling base and buds of weeds, inhibits protein synthesis, and causes weeds to absorb the liquid and die after they are unearthed.

It can be used to control annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds after sowing and covering soil in cornfields, such as: beef tendon grass, crabgrass, sagebrush, foxtail, barnyard grass, broken rice sedge, duck’s toe grass, purslane, Quinoa, Polygonum, Shepherd’s Purse, etc.
